A Tale Told of Heart and Soul - POEM Included

It's been some time now since I started writing.

Something that began as a means to articulate the complex thoughts in my mind and share perspectives to spark conversations concerning topics and ideas worth analyzing soon blossomed into a way to improve my understanding of self, the world around me, and my place within it.

Writing has been such an astonishing journey!

I remember back to a time when I used poetry to speak my mind. Matters I could not convey well enough through speech alone would come to life when I wrote them down as poetic verses. Words I wrote seemed like pictures I'd paint as each line came together, like single brush strokes of progress towards a finished piece. Those pictures are still lucid when I recite my work. Hours-long commutes spent journaling notes on my phone so long that they felt like novels when I read them back. The goal of any form of expression has always been to make my thoughts more comprehensive. Perhaps even help others do the same as they engage with what I write. Although I never shared my notes, I hope that my poetry was able to accomplish that in its time. My writings here now take their roles.

As I endeavor to improve my writing abilities, it becomes more apparent that it's just as important to improve myself. As my writing prowess continues to grow, I intend that my spirit does as well.
